We at Benton Harbor Charter School Academy have been busy with conferences and professional development opportunities, and recently attended Choice Schools’ first Scholar Teachers Conference in Muskegon! The conference allowed teachers to collaborate and explore how to foster deep student learning in their classrooms with intellectual preparation. One teacher said, “This was a great experience! Meeting other educators and collaborating really brought the ideas to life. It was a great two days and I appreciate the opportunity.”
We were honored to have members from Lake Superior State University and the Lavinia Group work with us on setting visions, planning our school year and becoming the best we can be for our students.
