We are sad to report that school will not be in session Monday, January 13, 2014, due to a burst in the indoor sprinkler system that has caused flooding throughout areas of our school building. While the water damage in the school is pretty extensive, it primarily impacts our front office area, as well as a few classrooms. We are working as quickly as possible to clean up and repair the water damage.
At this time, we are closing school for Monday the 13th, but are planning to RE-OPEN on Tuesday, January 14, for all grades except GSRP. Parents of preschool children will be notified on a day-to-day basis as the repair work is complete in those classes. We will be using multiple communication channels to spread the word in regards to this issue including SchoolReach, the school’s website, Facebook, news stations WSBT and WNBU, and personal phone calls from your child’s teacher.
We are just as anxious as you to get our kids back in school. Trust that we are working as fast as we can to accomplish this. As a result of the winter weather related school closings this past week, we have decided to cancel the Professional Development day on Friday – therefore, students will have class on Friday, January 17, 2014.
Please plan on using the Middle School Entrance during this time until further notice.
