Classroom Spotlight – Ms. Liz Brautigan’s 4th & 5th Grade

The 4th and 5th grade students have been busy this winter! To kick off Black History Month, we’ve been discussing influential African Americans and their contributions to our society. Students have been excited to recognize and share what they are learning with their peers! During math class, we’ve been practicing multiplying 4-digit by 2 digit numbers. Students who memorize their multiplication facts even have a chance to pie their teachers in the face at the end of the year! In ELA, both the 4th and 5th graders have been working on strengthening their writing skills. The 4th grade students are learning about text structures using Snowflake Bentley while 5th grade students are discussing point of view with Thunder Rolling in the Mountain. All the students in 4th and 5th grade are working hard inside and outside of the classroom to meet their end of the year goals!
